The 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centers had happened a couple days before I had studio time booked to record with my band. Everyone was in shock. I hastily wrote and arranged this piece for my Quintet at the time to play...live, one take, no overdubs.  This track is from 2001.

This track is from the late 90s/early 00s. I recorded it with my good friend Steve Mauriello, who had a small studio (Creative Recorders) in Malden, MA. It was tracked and mixed on a Tascam reel to reel 8 Track (that's right kids). All analog, no digital at all. It was lots of fun to try to duplicate the sax solo with a wah wah guitar for me.  We both loved this song, hence the cover.
