"Scottish Pipes" evolved from a poem I wrote about 15 years ago as I sat in a lonely third floor room in Cleveland as storms rolled in from the north over Lake Erie.  Last year, I took a look at the piece and wove in my love of the music of Loretta Lynn and Donovan"s "Hurdy Gurdy Man" along with my Scottish influences with the setting of Edinburgh Castle and St. Margaret's Chapel in the 12th Century Scotland.

Poet and songwriter Mike Marcellino is a two-time national award winning journalist who served as a U.S. Army correspondent and photojournalist in the Vietnam War.  In 2007 in Cleveland he began to turn his stories and poems into a new form of folk music - lyrical poetry.  Mike works with musicians, Tomas Texino, former mandolin player in the acclaimed Florida bluegrass band, Salt Run, and Randal Leddy, a bass guitar player in Los Angeles.  He began creating songs, recording and performing in Cleveland with multi-media artist Abe Olvido.  Mike recently rose to #67 on the National Chart on ReverbNation.  He has performed in Cleveland, New York City, Baltimore and St. Augustine, Florida.  He is the #1 Folk Artist in St. Augustine.
