Hard trance classics

My look at the music played at Helter Skelter in its final year comes to an end with a huge 2 hour dive into the trance and techno played in the legendary Technodrome. I was lucky enough to go to 2 Skelter events in 99 and they were absolutely rammed, 17 year old me jumping from arena to arena!

Here's some of my favourite tracks played in the Technodrome by Mark EG, M Zone, Scorpio, The DJ Producer, Jay Prescott and more. I hope you enjoy my Skelter series, I had a lot of fun going back in time and looking at tracklists and sorting through my records!

We are very proud to present our lineup for Chapel Welcome Back Party £5 OTD - 1990s Hardcore, Trance & Techno ALL NIGHT!

The last 18 months have been extremely hard on everyone and we want to give something back to the loyal Chapel crew who've supported us through everything since 2018 so we are putting on a very special £5 on the door party to say thank you for your support.
Suki10c contacted us a few weeks ago and asked if we were interested in putting something on and we just couldn't say no, we were gutted about cancelling the 90s gabber night that was meant to happen this weekend so we quickly sorted a lineup for this night and its pretty much the same lineup as our cancelled night!

Soldiers Of Core x Darkside is the next night in Manchester so we wanted to avoid any new music out of respect for the SOC boys, we want both nights to be rammed with ravers so please grab a ticket for their night too! For this special one off we are going all the way back to the 90s with a massive lineup of DJs playing the best hardcore techno, gabber, trance and techno anthems and forgotten gems.
There's no tickets for this night, it's simply £5 on the door before 11pm and £10 after. There's no restrictions at Suki10c, no masks (unless you want to), no social distancing and no NHS app / proof of vaccination on the door. There will be hand sanitiser around the venue but that is all. It's gonna be a 90s rave with the best ravers on the planet and the best DJs playing pretty much all vinyl sets!

As my journey into the music played at Helter Skelter in the 90s continues I look at maybe my favourite year in rave music, 1997!

As a 15 year old in 1997 I went to my first rave, bought a LOT of happy hardcore, D&B and techno records and started my huge fandom for Deathchant, Area 51, Industrial Strength, Mokum & more, buying most of my records at Tempest and HMV in Birmingham and BPM in Derby. 

All of the records in the mix were played at Skelter in 97 by Clarkee, Scorpio, HMS, Fergus, Lomas, The DJ Producer, The Immortalz, Menace, Dolphin, Jay Prescott, Sharkey, Mark EG and M Zone. Enjoy!
