This tune began its life as a short audio clip I sent my, then, fianceé of me playing mandolin one early morning while we lived in separate towns. From there it grew into the song she would walk down the aisle to and become my wife. I suppose you could say I'm pretty fond of this tune.

The Spirit of the West

Katie and Nathan Rhoden asked me to create a piece for them for their wedding ceremony. With the help of the gentlemen at Fifty50 Studios in Dallas, Tx, the following composition came to life. I have still not recovered from the overwhelming honor and blessing those two bestowed upon me in this commission as well as the serendipitous nature in which this tune grew into creation. 

Thanks again, Rhoden's. Your wedding was a truly beautiful as are you two.
