BIANCA

Wilson Pickett (March 18, 1941 – January 19, 2006) was an American R&B, soul and rock and roll singer and songwriter.

A major figure in the development of American soul music, Pickett recorded over 50 songs which hit the US R&B charts, and frequently crossed over to the US Billboard Hot 100. Among his best known hits are "In the Midnight Hour" (which he co-wrote), "Land of 1,000 Dances", "Mustang Sally", and "Funky Broadway".The impact of Pickett's songwriting and recording led to his 1991 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Pickett teamed up with established Philadelphia-based hitmakers Gamble and Huff for the 1970 album "Wilson Pickett In Philadelphia", which featured two hit singles, "Engine No.9" and "Don't Let The Green Grass Fool You", the latter selling one million copies.

foi um filme lançado pela 20th Century Fox em 1976. Ele foi retirado dos cinemas depois de cerca de uma semana após a sua exibição. Na verdade, a produção foi considera um fiasco total. Entretanto, a trilha sonora gerou grande sucesso. A ideia original era usar músicas gravadas pelos próprios “The Beatles”, mas os diretores entenderam que a criação de um álbum exclusivamente produzido para o filme seria uma fonte de renda extra – e a ideia funcionou. Daí eles juntaram vários artistas de peso para regravar as 20 músicas da banda britânica utilizadas no filme. 
Nesse CD temos os clássicos dos Beatles sob os seguintes talentos:  Bee Gees, Frankie Valli e os Four Seasons, Peter Gabriel, RodStewart, Ron Wood, Leo Sayer, Keith Moon, Elton John, Jeff "ELO" Lynne, BryanFerry, Tina Turner, Status Quo, A Johnson e Brothers. Algumas participações de Helen Reddy, Henry"Shannon" Gross, e cantor de música country Frankie Laine ("High Noon" e "Blazing Saddles" ).
