Tabriz & Zuckermann - Stellar Drifter EP // Suffused Music [SMD055]

The 55th release on Suffused Music features the return of Tabriz & Zuckerman to the label for their fourth overall appearance. The Russian duo (also known as Deepsense) released their debut single 'Mars One' in December of 2013 and quickly followed that up with an appearance on Suffused Music's 'Initializing 2014' and 'Suffused Grooves Vol. 1'. Their contribution to 'Initializing 2014' was entitled 'Stellar Drifter' which now sees it's official release here. Although very early in their production careers Tabriz and Zuckerman have gained a nice following for their brand of classic progressive house. The punchy groove, bouncy drums and ethereal atmospheric qualities of 'Stellar Drifter' are the standout piece in their discography thus far. The new interpretations provided by Inner Ornament, Qoob and Yuriy From Russia are also excellent and should ensure the track lives on all through the second half of 2014. - Release Promo

PROTONICA - HORIZON EP
From the clouds of darkness bursts of colours start to appear: purple, orange and some pink. These rays of light tickle your eyes and open a new view, a new Horizon. It is only then that you start to hear the beat, those pounding sounds that make your heart race. Now you know, it is time to follow the beat.

Guiding your way to the Horizon are Protonica, aka Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze from Berlin, Germany. After two successful albums – Search (2007) and Form Follows Function (2012), Protonica have been placed high in the psychedelic galaxy. In this journey they take you once more to an unknown Horizon, although the destination is unknown, pleasure is guaranteed.

The dark mist has faded away with the waves of multiple colours that were sent from the Horizon. It is bright and shiny just like Greece and brings with it the same sense of mythology and magical surrounding that are known to be associated with Atmos, aka Tomasz Balicki.

"For me, Jean-Michel Jarre is one of the founding fathers of electronic music. His music has always been sonically and musically creative, so when I first heard his music as kid it was one of the main things that inspired me to want to make electronic music. Jarre also created the big show format for an electronic performer. 

I recall first discovering Tangerine Dream via the soundtrack to "Risky Business" and was very sad to hear of Edgar Froese's recent passing. 

It was an honour to work with these two legends of electronica on our remix of “Zero Gravity" - the idea was to draw on the early influences from their music combined with ideas from the track itself, and then inject some Above & Beyond into the mix."
