Dieser Song beschreibt die Qualen unserer Corona-Infektion im Sommer 2024,
die meine Frau und ich trotz 4-fach-Impfung durchlitten haben. Eine Zugfahrt in einem relativ leeren Zug von Hamburg nach Berlin hat bereits gereicht, um uns für ca. 3 Wochen lahmzulegen.

Hier ist der Text:

Nun bin ich doch mal mit dem Zug von Hamburg nach Berlin gefahren,
denn ich dachte, dass sei sicherer als Autofahr’n und ich könnte mein Leben dabei bewahren.
Leider waren wohl einige Fahrgäste Covid-19 infiziert,
jedenfalls war 3 Tage später meine Gesundheit vollkommen ruiniert.

Mit Fieber und Gliederschmerzen erwachte ich in der Nacht,
ein Corona-Test hat am nächsten Tag Gewissheit gebracht.
Trotz 4-Fach-Impfung und Entwarnung der Politik,
Covid-19 führte in meinem Körper Krieg.

Corona soll zum Teufel geh’n,
ich will endlich wieder die Sonne seh’n.
Hau ab, du olle Viruskugel,
sogar das Bier schmeckt nun nach Apfelstrudel.

Seit fünf Tagen liege ich nun schwitzend oder frierend vorm TV
und denke, so wie früher wird es wohl leider nie.
Der Hals kratzt und der Husten zerreist fast meine Brust,
dass Corona so schrecklich ist, das habe ich einfach nicht gewusst.

Corona soll zum Teufel geh’n,
ich will endlich wieder die Sonne seh’n.
Hau ab, du blöde Viruskugel,
sogar das Bier schmeckt schon nach Apfelstrudel.

Am 6. Tag wache ich endlich ohne Fieber auf
und denke „Hurra, nun bin ich wieder gut drauf!“.
Doch nur Minuten später fühle ich mich wieder unendlich schwach,
ich muss wieder ins Bett, mein Herzschlag ist auch nur ganz flach!

Corona soll zum Teufel geh’n,
ich will endlich wieder die Sonne seh’n.
Hau ab, du blöde  Viruskugel,
sogar das Bier schmeckt jetzt nach Apfelstrudel.

Inzwischen ist auch meine liebe Frau ganz krank,
die Getränke sind alle und der Kühlschrank, der ist blank.
Im Fernsehen läuft nur noch die Fußball EM,
„Deutschland, Deutschland“, ich bin schon ganz plemplem.
Dank Gasbauarbeiten in unserer Straße ist auch das Internet defekt,
wenn der Song hier endet, sind wir wohl an Hunger und Durst verreckt.

Nach 15 Tagen kann ich wieder Shoppen gehen
und sogar 5 Minuten an der Kasse stehen.
Wir sind auch wieder Viren frei,
nur die Muskeln fühlen sich noch an wie Brei.
Nun haben wird wieder zu Essen und zu Trinken
und können zufrieden und glücklich in unsere Betten sinken.
Corona ist vorbei und wird sind wieder high!

Corona Im Sommer 2024

It's an old song, sung in a million ways already, but Jane and Mike have adopted the Woody Guthrie original for their own problems in East Salford, North West England, where property developers are threatening to destroy the shopping precinct nearby and replace it with a building site - for 10 years (their plans).
Oh, these tax dodgers are promising that the shopping sheds will be replaced with graceful tower blocks of flats and apartments (eventually) and there will be 3,300 'homes' - actually, not homes, but mainly one bed apartments. (Any families wanna move into a 1-bed, anyone?)
Also, they promise a new 'park', (once the brick dust has died down and the diggers been taken away), which comprises a winding path through fake grass and some new (small) treelings. Of course, that will cost them some money for such 'facilities', so there will be no donation to improve local needs, such as more doctors and school places. No, nothing about that.
Oh, and the 3.3k residents, new, will get their own parking places, of course, (but they might have to fight over them. There are planned to be 600, only).

It's modern songs, (in a folk idiom), radio shows in a 'Richard and Judy' idiot, and songs like 'Dit Dit Dit', (which, as we all know, stands for S.O.S. - good enough for The Titanic. Who knows, Salford might hit an iceberg, soon).
