This was an idea for a song that I recorded on my cell phone about a year ago... never really followed through with finishing it.  I think the shitty phone sounds is kinda cool though.

This is an excerpt from a webcast/podcast/videocast show called Hunnypot Radio which has been broadcasting about twice per month for the last 10 years here in LA. It's hosted by music industry veterans John Anderson and Jeff "Pesci" Grey and features guest DJ sets and live bands at The Mint night club. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to talk about myself on the radio in Pasadena about what it's like to be a music supervisor. It was a fun experience. I decided to upload the file here just for posterity since I don't know how long they archive the shows for on the KPCC site. Anyway, A Martinez (the host) and I chatted for about 20 min and then they edited it down to about 7 minutes for broadcast to keep me from sounding like a rambling fool.

I think they did a pretty good job although there are some weird edits that seem to make what I'm saying sound a little strange. I kinda hate the sound of my own speaking voice when I hear it back and I was nervous anyway but I think it came out pretty decent.

This is a cover version of one of my all time favorite songs written by the criminally underrated Karl Wallinger for his band World Party. My pal Stephen Becker and I produced and performed this at Company Studios in Glendale Ca under the name "Equine Audio Research" (E.A.R.).  

The Pedal steel was performed by the super talented Kevin Milner and this recording was mastered by KRAMER at Noise Miami
