Our final free download of the year finds Emi Galvan and D-Nox joining forces for a much-anticipated rework of Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Meanwhile, hailing from Germany but now based in Brazil, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Whether operating in solo capacity or as one half of D-Nox and Beckers, the German artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock, Einmusika, Sudbeat and his own Sprout imprint. Having previously worked together for Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank imprint, Emi and D-Nox also took to re-imagining Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’ earlier this year. Now over thirty years old, the Original version was the lead track on the British band’s third and most critically acclaimed album ‘dubnobasswithmyheadman’. As a favourite of Sasha, Digweed and a host of other A-list DJs, there are few productions which have stood the test of time in a more enduring fashion. About Lonerist: 

@thelonerist is a UK-based dj/producer who specialises in dub techno and deep electronic soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the emotive depth of Detroit techno and the atmospheric nuances of dub, Lonerist crafts tracks and dj sets that are both immersive and contemplative and weaves a sonic narrative that blurs the line between isolation and intensity. 

A @thelonerist DJ set is rooted in dub techno, ambient textures, and minimalist rhythms, crafted for introspection as much as movement. Each track is given room to breathe, with long blends and subtle transitions that blur the line between where one ends and the next begins. Expect space, depth and plenty of echo-drenched chords. Welcome to our podcast, this time we bring you a Great Spanish artist, DJ / Producer based in La Alcarria Spain.

Emesh/AMS is the project of Antonio Muñoz where he unleashes his creativity in the music production of different genres: electronic, ambient, slow trance, idm.

Antonio is both a musician and therapist. His musical influences owe much to the pop and electronics of the 80s when he started working as resident Dj at Deadly club in Brihuega (Guadalajara-Spain) about 9 years. From there he went to Madrid to do Dj sets in various popular nightspots of the capital like the Circulo de Bellas Artes, Mondo and Maxime between others. At the same time he recorded his firsts own tracks and remixes under the name of Dujay. Since then he has consistently been developing his musical interest attending courses and workshops on music production and learning to play many different instruments such as the piano, flute, oriental percussion, tabla, frame drum, congas and guitar. He also has an interest in shamanism and has learned techniques from various ancient cultures to work with sound for therapeutic purposes. Antonio gives regular sound therapy sessions and concerts using his Tibetan Singing Bowls, Shamanic Drum and other ancient instruments. In 2020 one of his tracks has been chosen to enter the program of the London Music Conference and has been invited by the organizers to play a set at the Fabric of London.

The name AMS has several meanings; the initials of Antonio Muñoz Sound, his blog «Armonia del Sonido» and according to the Sefer Yetzirah, the book of creation, AMS «the three mothers, Aleph, Mem and Sin. Great mystery, wonderful and a cult, from where air, water and fire come from, with which all is born.

Where the desert air meets the breath of the Mediterranean Sea, the sound of NAVAD (@navadnomad) is born. His Liquid Dance EP is the alchemy of waves and rhythms, forged into four crystals and refracted through five mirrors.

The originals sound like incantations:
::: Liquid Dance — the primordial element, the flow, the dance of water itself, shifting its form but never its essence.
::: Cold Waters — a descent into depths, where cold is not about fear but clarity, each strike like a drop falling into the well of memory.
::: Crickets — the whisper of the night transformed into rhythm; a choir of invisible conductors of the fields, translating nature into the language of electronics.
::: Spikes — crystals of light, the sharp edge of sound piercing through space.

But where there is a core, reflections are always born. And here enter the alchemists of remix:
