Welcome to the Collectors Volume 2 in our Guest Mix Series.
We proudly introduce RMN (pronounced Are-Men). Emerging from the bedroom to the living room and sharing some of his essential tunes from what is clearly a quality curated and very well seasoned collection.

Armen comes to us in a time capsule, with a set of records mostly from the 90's. Reaching back for a set of some personal Chicago and East Coast classics that refuse to get stale we go from deep and funky to soulful and tribal.  Born into a dance-orientated culture he grew up banging on hand drums at gatherings.  In college, in the mid 90s, the discovery of the underground had a life-path-altering effect as he and his crew of rowdy misfits journeyed the New England region often in search of the unifying force on the dancefloor.   As tastes matured the realization that what the legends at Shelter, Loft, Cajual, Strictly Jaz Unit and Body & Soul are doing resonated the most.  The record collecting goes back 3 decades but the focus has always been the dancefloor rather than the limelight.  
Advanced stage music appreciation is now more occasionally done in dark rooms of Los Angeles, where floor-work and -baby powder are uncommon, with the sentimentality for the golden era always nagging.  
Selections of this blend include  Abacus, Claussell, GU, Kupper, Feliciano, Harley & Muscle, M&M, Fiasco, Jovonn, Marlon D will resist your instinct to be a wallflower.   So, turn it up, don't sit back, and enjoy.

Mike Bledsoe aka IAM1 set himself apart as an entrepreneur in the electronic music industry at the early age of 18 by producing raves in Indianapolis in 1996 under the alias of New Realm Productions. In 2003, he showed himself to be a visionary by relocating to Miami, FL to not only produce trance and breakbeat events, but also to create a new artist management company dubbed UpliftAM. With notable clients such as the inventor of Miami Bass, Amos Larkins III, as well as 2LiveCrew, Nucleus, Devine&EmilyPLAY, Eclipse and many others, for several years, UpliftAM was able to uplift the careers of DJs and producers across the United States.

In 2013, Mike moved to Chicago and at first was co-creator of a trifecta group named Skygarden before breaking off to create his own house and breakbeat inspired brand which led him to stay in the home of house music, Housebroken. Since 2014, the Housebroken Events brand has made a visible dent in the scenes of Chicago and the San Francisco Bay area at beaches, bars, clubs and after-hours spaces. Mike Bledsoe has brought the Housebroken name to residencies at EXIT (Chicago), The Foundation Room at the House of Blues (Chicago), The EndUP (San Francisco), Xippo/Revolver, Lokal, Innjoy, Never Have I Ever, Barbarella/700 Larkin (San Francisco), BRIX (Oakland), and he has served as a manager/agent for the late Paul Johnson as well as for Gene Hunt and many other Housebroken affiliates throughout the past decade. 

As a teenager, Mike Bledsoe studied the cello, guitar and percussion instruments, but it wasn't until he was introduced to event production and raves that he gravitated to the turntables and began learning how to skillfully mix music together. Mike created his own rave production company early on, but did not take his own deejaying as seriously as he did uplifting others. He chose to instead observe the professionals he would hire in order to learn to hone his own craft. As a promoter and artist manager in the trance and breakbeat communities, Mike Bledsoe had the opportunity to play records in 12 states before ever moving to Chicago, but once he had found a place in the home of house music, Gene Hunt and Danny Digable convinced the Natural Selection that he should take his skills seriously and become a professional house artist and dj. Since that day, Mike has added appearances in 14 more states, multiple gigs in South Africa and Mexico, a 25 city tour in 2021 and played alongside some of the greatest names in house music history including Paul Johnson, Mark Farina, Doc Martin, Gettoblaster, Wally Callerio, Franky Boissy, Garth, a B2B with Mr. Gene Hunt himself, and even once performed a blindfolded tag team of sensory deprivation with Chicago underground maestro Mathis Mega M Rousseau!

Mike is currently residing in Chicago and working on launching a new non-profit sober events organization named The Daydream Project. He holds a DJ residency with DTLA First Sundays in Los Angeles, is the artist manager of DJ ROSE RED, and has created music with Danny Digable on Fresh & Paid Records (Denver) and Sub
Subwoofer Laboratories (Berlin).
