MikedMusic is more than just a musical project; it’s the place where I, MikeD, channel my entire creative life. My journey began in the cultural crossroads of Belgium and Germany, where I developed an insatiable appetite for music that led to picking up instruments and never putting them down. With over three decades of experience in the music industry, I’ve cultivated my craft as an audio engineer, singer-songwriter, and composer. These skills allow me to wear all the hats—producer, engineer, and songwriter—for MikedMusic, granting me the ability to control every nuance of the sound.
My professional portfolio is a testament to the versatility I've developed, spanning far beyond the rock genre. You might have encountered my work while traveling on Eurostar, relaxing at Radisson Spa Hotels, or through commercial soundscapes for major brands like Nestlé and Evian. I’ve composed nature-inspired ambient soundscapes for esteemed labels like Biosphere, and to make my sound accessible to a broader creative community, my sound libraries are also available on platforms like Epidemic Sounds and Landr.
While my commercial work often focuses on ambient and atmospheric soundscapes, my personal passion has always been rooted in a different, more visceral sound. Over the years, I've already produced five guitar-based blues and rock albums, exploring the raw energy and storytelling of these genres, and have even worked as a ghostwriter, crafting lyrics for well-known and up-and-coming rock bands. MikedMusic is the continuation of this personal journey: crafting a compelling blend of modern music powered by the vintage energy I grew up on—a sound that feels gritty, authentic, and hooks you instantly.
Honestly, the global response to this music has been overwhelming and incredibly validating. Seeing the excitement for my latest Ep-length album, Do not disturb..., as it surpassed my expectations . It's proof that the emotion and intensive attention to every sonic detail I put into the music is truly connecting with people on a visceral level.
When I step into the studio, I am driven purely by that emotional core. The music comes from a deep well of experience, and I believe in pushing its boundaries. To achieve the powerful caliber of sound I demand, I’m fortunate to collaborate closely with some of Europe’s top studio and session musicians. Their expertise and world-class contributions are essential in delivering that unmistakable, contagious sound on every record. MikedMusic is about creating a creative synergy—a world where reality and fantasy blur—all built on the belief that genuine, focused artistry still has legendary potential.
My creative journey continues to evolve. While the core of MikedMusic is guitar-based, my most recent project, an adult-oriented rock track released in August 2025, signals a new chapter in my process. Produced entirely in my in-house studio using real guitars and instruments, it features a modern twist: the vocals were created using my own voice timbre combined with AI technology. The journey is just accelerating; the upcoming months will see more EPs unveiled, offering deeper dives into the MikedMusic world and this new sonic blend.
