As some amongst us push harder to draw lines, build walls, and separate us from one another, it remains one of the utmost import goals of musicians and curators to push back even harder in order to bring us back together. For this reason we are determined to keep a global perspective when it comes to our curation, with our previous mixes ranging from Glasgow to Brisbane. We now present an exemplification of the rich creative talent that emanates from the south with this hour of time-melting atmosphere compiled by Italian artist Kaelan aka Nico Campanella. With releases on renowned techno imprints such as Construct Re-form, CLFT, Subosc and Monnom Black, we are humbled and inspired to showcase the other side of his distinct sound.

As the lush life that surrounds us reaches it’s full maturity so does the creative fervor in our minds and in our souls. Initiating the summer edition of UNRUSH is a tremendously underrated artist based in the South of France. Kriss Kortz known as Life Recorder has been soaking deep into the collective caverns of our psyche since the mid 90’s with Detroit-tinged releases on imprints like Atmospheric Existence and Aesthetic Audio. Focusing here on the more downtempo side of his collection, he has gifted us with a truly world class excursion that is perfect for these hot summer days.

In order to illuminate the future we must first embrace the past. As one half of the Tokomak Records company, Sirko Mueller has managed to funnel one into the other by crafting throwbacks to Dub influenced sounds that resonate as positively futuristic. He has been releasing a consistent stream of high quality techno and house music since 1999, and with this edition of UNRUSH he takes us under his wing for a history lesson by a truly seasoned artist. We couldn’t ask for a more deeply engaging listen, and we hope you enjoy it.

A name who is akin with eclectic and distinguished taste, Mareena has been carefully working behind the scenes in Berlin to consistently bring forth the best of both upcoming and established artists.
