The lyrics are about my constant battle with spiritual anxiety. It's a sin, it's definitely not something God intends for us. I am always worried about my performance, and I'm working on looking to Jesus' performance only. I don't think the lyrics are perfect or anything: I didn't spend hours pouring over each word. It's almost a first draft. I just meant them and sang them. This song is specifically about my worries about failing my immediate community and my fear of losing sight of Jesus. Living with other people and learning to live deeply connected to other believers I have realized that my life is wrapped up in the lives of others. We all need to be open and honest and we are only healthy when we are following Jesus with others. So for me the answer to "What happens if I sin?" is realizing I can't only be worried only about my spiritual health but about my community. The answer is: "Please, God! Don't just heal me, heal us all!" It's a way for me to remind my self that just thinking of my own sin and my own issues is stupid. I'll always have more. It's a way of saying that to keep asking the question, "What about if I fail?" is stupid."Enough thinking about me and my anxieties, please God help not only me but all of us who are struggling to follow You".
