Mike almost died last year. The music wasn’t quite enough to save his life. The punk and ska, the Latin and reggae, the crazy amounts of hip hop, soul, and R&B music that has sustained him every day since his original one. From “Guilty feet have got no Rhythm” to “Going beyond space and Time,” the story had always been the same until Mike Dynamo may have almost died getting brain cancer taken out of his head… but he didn’t die... and his music didn’t lose his musicality either. 

Rather than live his life in this disconnected way, Mike decided to recommit himself to what he loved the most. Making the music and everything else that goes with it. Making videos for his friends and fans to check out, selling merchandise, and building something musically amazing to be latched onto. 

It’s incredible to witness. Mike just hasn’t done anything like this before. There’s never been a good reason why other than he was always worried he’d look stupid somehow… and honestly... he might. 

...But Mike almost died last year. So it’s time to retake his position as one of the boys in the band who remains your girlfriend’s all-time favorite. 

Now, it’s time to cast the tails off and make something new and improved for everyone.

Is it over?

It's a question you have to ask yourself as your body changes. As your mind and time go. You may have gotten something you can't get rid of. You may have gotten cancer. Ultimately, it doesn't matter if you did or didn't. You've still got more music to make.

Is This Over

Sometimes the best way to understand someone's misery is to have them explain it to you. While "Goodness and Greats" is about having fun and enjoying hip-hop, "One Way To Die" showcases rap music without its mirth and enjoyment. 

Mere weeks after the news of his 2022 brain cancer, Mike had some decisions to make. What if he couldn't put his life back together in the same way? What if he never would find the type of recovery he was looking for? What if he'd done everything he'd ever be able to do already? 

Could he really handle this being all his life would be about? Difficult things to consider when you're aware it could all be over tomorrow. Luckily, Mike was able to keep his voice and even get chunks of his personality to return to him over the course of the year. It's taken a lot of effort and there's always so much more to do in the hopes of continued movement. 

In this instance, Mike was able to find some people who wanted to work with him out in Estonia. After all, if he was going to be here, he thought it best to find the strength to keep working as well as he had before. Even when his mind isn't working as it used to, Mike can still use the qualities he does have to bring lyrics to life, to talk about where his worries are taking him, and the potential kids he has yet to have. Should he? Could he? 

He doesn't know either. 

Either way it goes though, Mike only has one way to die.
