Just found this mixtape 2day. It'z Edward 'Getdown' Crosby jackin' up tha beatz... I listened 2 a lot of his mixes before we would throw our KCP parties back in the late 80'z & early 90'z. When WBMX left, he filled in my void of Farley "JackMaster" Funk. He alwayz dropped those rare jointz that thee other'z didn't. Heck I'm still trying 2 find some of them.

We shared a cute talk about her productions and the so awaited album "Gentle  Confrontation", to be released this month on @hyperdub Records and premiered on @berlinatonal Festival 

Loraine James (Hyperdub / AD93 / Phantom Limb) is a producer who uses a minimalist setup and unbound creativity, she utilizes IDM, glitch aesthetics with an improvisational, jazz-rooted spirit and a unique talent for integrating her diverse influences into cohesive and emotive pieces.

"Nobody sounds like Loraine, she can take the most apparently chaotic sonic madness of drums and make something sensitive and interesting. There’s an architectural quality to the music of Loraine James: minimalist arrangements frequently morph into spasmodic outbursts as she attempts to map the unpredictable happenings of her inner world .
