My first ever radio show in 1988 for Studio FM under the name DJ Ace. At the time Studio FM was called "London's No1 Soul Station" and not playing any house music. The show had to contain no more than 30% house music so I split the show in 3 segments, soul/disco, hip-hop/electro and house.
This was ripped from cassette tape. The picture to the left is of me in 1988 doing a segment for a BBC TV documentary, World In Action Documentary - A Trip Around Acid House.

1988 Pirate Radio station Studio FM under the name DJ Ace. After only a few months I got moved from the "Graveyard Slot" of 3-6am to a Friday afternoon slot. Patch Notes
Master Clock(s) Pamela's New Workout
Drums: Behringer RD8 being clocked by Pam
Pad: 4 Oscillators tuned together (2 x ACL and 2 x AJH Mini Mod) being played by the Metropolis (CV and Gate) and controlled by the Sinfonion.
Lead: Played by the Atlantis, going through the AJH slide module sequenced by Make Noise Pressure points (CV) controlled by the Sinfonion, but gates from the Intellijel, Steppy.
Metallic Bass: Noise Engineering Ataraxic Iteritas, through a WMD filter, played by channel 2 of Make Noise Pressure points (CV), gates from ch2 of Steppy.
Mixing via the WMD performance mixer, 6 channels out to Ableton Live for mixdown where compression and eq was added.

"Mike has co-produced some of the most influential UK Techno music ever made through the seminal albums on Warp Records, "Electro Soma", "Time Tourist" and later "Last Days of Silence".
