And here we go, far out and yet so near, the third edition of “Risks Issues Opportunities” brings frontier reverberations scratching at the edges of dance, pop, downbeat, and other trance- portive sectors. Eight fast/slow propelling tracks. Adventurous, full of grandeur, gratifying the dance floor while equally winning the relaxation zones. Pure emotions crafted by newcomers. There is Milan’s Tagliabue, trancing slow and insightful. Or Cologne’s Grischerr, eloquently Tolouse-Low-Traxing. Some go down the slow burning road, where rhythms hang low, and suspense is in full show. Like London’s Frank Rodas, Garnu Depot from Iran, or Xei Ju from the islands of Micronesia, striking all ears with ghostly transcendental percussive science. The life-affirming selector mix was recorded for us by Moscow musician and event organizer, art director of the creative association @okno-club and co-founder of the once existed promo band @altmoscow - Prasdov. In early March, he self-released the album 'Things Happen'. 

«This mix for me is a mix about the arrival of spring. The playlist for it was collected for a few years. It contains respected electronics maestros, as well as some unreleased works of friends and soundcloud favorites. I tried to put the mix together in such a way that it would be pleasant to walk to along a sunny road - in the city, suburbs or mountains by the sea - and be in a good mood. The first track of the mix (after the intro - a dictaphone recording of a conversation with a cab driver) is a composition by Grisha Gorozhanin from a cassette we released on Alta. As Grisha said, the track is based on a recording of a street saxophonist playing at Chistye Prudy, whom he met while he was walking in the beginning of spring to get flowers. Crossfade Sounds presents the Whatever EP from The Open Circle and Angel Lebailly, a collaborative project that brings together two returning artists from the label's growing roster. The Belgian producer The Open Circle made his debut in 2024 with the Second Life EP, while German artist Angel Lebailly first appeared on our inaugural cassette release in early 2025.

Their joint effort features four dub techno compositions — We Are Astronauts, Lunar Eclipse (Dark Night Mix), Symbiosis, and The Journey Into the Mist. Each piece blends atmospheric depth with rhythmic restraint, where subtle motion and evolving textures invite the listener into a meditative sonic space.

With Whatever EP, The Open Circle and Angel Lebailly explore the introspective side of techno, crafting a collection that feels both immersive and timeless, perfectly aligned with the Crossfade Sounds aesthetic.
