A brief story about Some Out Of None as an artist, also goes by the name of ''Yoeri''. Musically raised by the art of bboying better known as breakin/breakdance. Besides loving the process of creating he also collects vinyl and practices the art of dj-ing daily. Since early days he felt passionate about music and how it connects people. Around his teens, he got his first turntables and mixer and started recording mixes through tape decks. Shortly after that he built his own DJ booth with a friend. From there he started collecting music and building a music library for his own listening pleasure.

In the years after he started with bboying'/breakdance and found out about this whole movement and culture. He delved further into currents and influences and got to know a different kind of music. As a dancer he went into organizing dance events and making music. At these activities and meeting many new people, he discovered House music in its purest form. Fascinated by the Chicago and Detroit sounds he got inspired by four to the floor music.

In terms of a musical spectrum he actually moves in all sorts of directions. What is important to Yoeri is that it generates energy, emotion and pureness at all times. In Yoeri's opinion music should uplift you. You might recognize this energy in his music.

Back around 1992' I was working for a resort as mentioned on some previous tapes I posted here. This was way b4 the internet & it was a place where I met people from all around the world.
On this particular day, the customer's I tooked care were a Italian gay couple. They had a small boom box with them, & when one of the guys turned on the tape, I was like yo that's Frankie Knuckles jam 'When Rain Falls"!!! The other guy looked at me with his broken english saying "You know about House Music"???LOL
I was like actually...... after that long conversation, we agreed to trade some tapes. I got this tape & another one by the same DJ Fabrice. He was telling me how this DJ was italy's #1 Deep House DJ. In return I gave him a Farley "Jackmaster" Funk & Frankie Knuckles WBMX mixes. They lost it!!! You'll be hearing more of these stories as I met so many people. One being a super model who was telling me about her boyfriend Seb Fontaine of the Ministry of Sound, who I never heard of at that time. But I also gave her a Farley "JackMaster" Funk WBMX 1988 mixtape along with one of me & my 2 brothers on WPRK.
Anyhow, I hope you dig this as much as I did & still do now.

DJ and Producer Mikekon is deeply rooted in the underground music scene. With early influence from pioneers out of New York, Chicago and Detroit, Mike crafted his skills in Eora/Sydney local scene for 20 years as well as playing interstate and abroad. 
1/3 of legendary party House Your Soul which championed the soulful house scene in Sydney in the 2010’s, Mike later set up WIP Music in 2019. A dance music label and party, presenting a conversation through music via releases, mixes and parties paying homage to the roots of electronic dance whilst promoting a safe community of culture and art.

Being billed, hosting and playing with the greats such as Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, DJ Spinna, Osunlade and Timmy Regisford, has shaped his sonic journey into the artist he has become.
