Rob Snarski and Mikelangelo first met in 1997, Mikel was lying in a coffin dressed as Elvis and Rob was gazing down at his seemingly lifeless body, singing to him – thus began their first collaboration. Fast forward 20 years and the two crooners are performing their first double headline shows together.  It’s a rare opportunity to hear the honey voice of Snarski with the velvet baritone of Mikelangelo. Each will sing a solo set of original material, and will then join each other to re-interpret classics such as Nancy Sinatra’s Bang Bang and Ricky Nelson’s Lonesome Town. They will also reimagine their solo songs as a duo, including selections from Mikelangelo’s critically lauded album City Of Dreams and Snarski’s acclaimed, award-winning solo album Wounded Bird. Mikelangelo is a Canberra born singer, songwriter and performer who now lives in Majors Creek, NSW. For over 25 years he has toured Australia and the world, solo and with his group the Black Sea Gentlemen, releasing 13 independent albums and developing a devout cult following. He appeared on RocKwiz, the BBC Culture Show and The Project, and has played to packed houses from the Sydney Opera House to London’s West End. Mikelangelo premiered his new show Balkan Elvis: Eastern Bloc Rock at the 2018 Adelaide Cabaret Festival to widespread critical acclaim. He has recently returned from working and performing with indigenous musicians of the Mutijulu community at Uluru, where he was affectionately called Elvis by Elders and children alike.
