Mike got his first start at WMET, a #1 rock station, as a Whammo Reporter for the late night DJ show, featuring celebrity DJ Captain Whammo.  Mike later was was featured on radio station WDAI, also know as Disco DAI. His top 10 hit pick songs were played and featured on the nightly air show. The pick hits were the top songs he played at the Hollywood Disco teen club, in Hanover Park, IL, where he first started as a DJ career.  Later, Mike went on to be a featured DJ on WMBX Chicago, before the Hot Mix 5 DJ team were assembled. Mikes mixes were featured nightly on WBMX radio shows. Mike was then invited by Pam Wells, program director of WGCI radio in Chicago, to come and be an exclusive mixer on the station.

Mike was a DJ a many top night clubs in Chicago & Chicago Suburbs, like Hollywood Disco, Stay Out All Night, McGreevy’s, Paradise, Coconuts, Bistro Too, Roscose’s before starting the record label Play House Records and opening his own nightclub, Circuit Night Club. Play House Records, rooted in Chicago, released a parody video with some of Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s iconic statements in the media set to a Chicago style beat track. "You're Full of Crap and that's the Nicest Thing I Can Say" is just one of the Mayor's quotes in the video.

The song’s intention is to highlight and document some of the recent and most difficult moments in Chicago’s history, that Mayor Lori Lightfoot has to combat on a daily basis, from her constituents, to the news media and even from her critics, that the citizen’s of Chicago can relate to, in a fun and entertaining way.
