I've been listening to a lot of English composers spanning the 19th and 20th Century such as Vaugn-Williams, Holst and Elgar. I wanted to write something with a pastoral feeling but also a dramatic and tender piano-led theme. I hope you enjoy it!

Colours of Another Sky

Tradewind came out of a piano sketch which I ended up arranging for orchestra. I was aiming for something cinematic, with the idea of travelling and warfare at sea. The name comes from a submarine my Great-Uncle served on as Commanding Officer in 1948, but to me also evokes traversing huge distances at sea by ship. Thanks for listening.
