What Are You Waiting For (2014 Remaster)

An acoustic rendition of Purple Rain by one of the greatest of all time. Gone far too soon. This was the only way I could think of to deal with the news of Prince's passing. Hope it means something to anybody. 

Purple Rain Prince Tribute - Mike McKenzy

This is a throwback track from 2003. Arbor Circle was a 2 piece band back then. Just Mike and Paul on multiple instruments. Mike plays the guitar and does the vocals, Paul plays ALL the strings. Layers of somber strings reminiscent of what Mike always said "Paul's string arrangement makes me think of a scene in a movie where the broken man is driving down a dark two lane highway in the rain."
The little ditty at the end was just Mike noodling around on the vibraphone between takes in the studio.

What You've Done (Remastered)

Mike McKenzy is an American singer-songwriter originally from California. He currently resides in Phoenix Arizona with his Wife Rachel and 2 young kids. 

Musical projects include late 90's early 2000's Pop-Punk quartet Jimmi Rigg, Early to Mid 2000's acoustic piano-rock trio Arbor Circle, Mid 2000's rock quartet Evening District and currently as an unnamed acoustic guitar and electric bass project with long time friend and bass player Chris Arnold.

As of June 2014, McKenzy is working on the re-mastering and first time online release of the hundreds of tidbits and tunes he has written and recorded over the years. 

He recently said he is not performing live but, "Always plans to in the sometime soon future of my mind...".
