By now you'll be aware just how prolific UK-based The Jaffa Kid is. It's obvious just by visiting his Bandcamp page. Release after release of quality breaks, jungle, techno, ambient, and downtempo experiments.

And this debut album for Gated doesn't disappoint, drawing from all those genres across two slabs of wax, underpinned with the Kid's keen ear for electronic music's hypnotic qualities.

These 10 tracks are raw and dancefloor-ready, but still retain that infectious listenability present in everything The Jaffa Kid produces.

A regular face on Hong Kong’s underground circuit, Byrne has thrown parties and held residencies at venues such as Oma, Midnight & Co. & Drop over the last decade. 

Most recently he holds a residency at FM Belowground, hosting his own monthly radio show: Disco for the Damned, an exploration of the darker realms of electronic music showcasing guests from around the world. 

A show that has grown in popularity and support over it’s one year existence, Byrne is set to convert Disco for the Damned into a music label with it’s first release due at the end of this year.

This live recording from Oma club back in April of this year perfectly encapsulates his distinct record selection and dynamic mixing technique. 

Make sure to check out his 'Disco for the Damned' show which airs on the last Saturday of each month at 2pm HK time.

Actif depuis plus de dix ans sous le nom de DoC, ce DJ et producteur breton a multiplié les projets au fil des années. Entre les soirées Crab Cake, le label Forecast ou encore ÖND, son CV est maintenant bien rempli. 
Il a également consacré son temps à façonner une musique complexe, jouant avec les contrastes et oscillant entre ambient, break ou encore IDM. Son nouveau projet - né il y a peu sous le pseudo Owghost - l'entraîne vers des sonorités plus techno tout aussi énergique qu'hypnotique.
