As I was recording a funk track for Rich and me, it started to sound like the soundtrack for a late 60s/early 70s-era car chase movie. Once we realized that, we were ALL IN. Out came the wah pedal, and Rich even cut a fun video for the song, pulling from several old school car chase movies...including BULLITT!  You can check it out here...

Out of the blue I hummed the first melody, and recorded my humming. It seemed a little corny, but catchy and just right for a track. I recorded the melody and then I composed the second part of the melody while taking a walk. The pumping bass and the funky drums worked right on this track. After much composing, recording, playing, programming and listening it was ready.

These are songs that I developed in a very lo-fi fashion to show what they sound like in my head. They could still go in many different directions - more acoustic, more produced - I'm open to ideas. But what you're hearing here are my unabashed concepts for these little tunes.
