In the spring of 1980, at 15 years of age, I would regularly visit the taping of The Muppet Show in England. One day I took a tape recorder to record what I called "Verbal Autographs". One by one, in the Muppet workshop, I recorded most of the principle performers. 

In classic Richard Hunt style, he went to town. HIs playful nature is captured beautifully here when at one moment he teases Guy Frazer Jones (assistant floor manager) who walks in the door with a new haircut! 

Richard goes through his repertoire of Muppet characters: Scooter, Statler, Sweetums, Beaker, Janice and Bobby Benson. You can hear the workshop ambience in the background.

Kenny Everett was king of the jingles, and would often have people he admired provide soundbites for his radio shows - which included the Muppets, whom Everett had introduce his many on-air competitions. In October 1981 Kenny Everett returned to the BBC and broadcast his weekly shows on Radio 2. The first three jingles here - one from Kermit The Frog (Jim Henson), two from Fozzie Bear (Frank Oz) - come from the first show of 3rd October 1981, the fourth jingle - Statler and Warldorf (Richard Hunt and Jim Henson) - from the second show of 10th October 1981.

Chosen by Jim Henson at just 16 years of age to perform his lovable Muppets, he went on to bring life to Nien Nunb, Lando Calrissian's alien Co-pilot in Return of the Jedi and the subsequent final trilogy. 
Now over 4 decades in the industry, he's still working on many new projects including his own for his company Mike Quinn Studios.
