The tape got mangled by the machine, which creates a forced key change/tempo change in the middle somewhere. I think it's interesting that the recording picks up a different pace when the song lyrics shift into another gear. I love imperfections. Also, I recorded this song at full speed, and then slowed it down with the tape machine, which dropped my balls about five inches and lowered my voice by a whole octave.
