Tennis Court (Lorde Cover)

Hey there folks! So being the huge Van Halen fan that I am (with the exception of the horror that is 'Jump'), I was absolutely floored when I heard the news that VH was reuniting with David Lee Roth. So I decided to throw together a heavy(er) metal rendition of my favorite VH song, 'Ain't Talkin Bout Love' with my good friend Alex Rudinger. Alex (aka Rudy/Reggie Ruckinger/Rooty Tooty Fresh N Fruity) is one of those drummers who you can trust without a doubt to smash his parts no matter what the genre, tempo, or general flavor of internet (see "beardmance" on Facebook for more info). Anyway, I hope you enjoy the cover and thank you for listening!

Ain't Talkin' Bout Love (Van Halen Cover featuring Alex Rudinger)

Hide And Seek is without a doubt one of the most unique songs I have ever heard. I've honestly felt inspired with every listen. So I decided a while back that I wanted to take on the challenge of making a cover of my own. Hopefully I didn't butcher it too bad for your liking! 

I'm not entirely sure how Imogen Heap went about producing this tune and creating that chorus of "robot Heaps" behind her. But just to give you an idea of how I achieved the sound that I did, I tracked the lead and overlapping backing vocals, then used a program called Melodyne to manufacture all of the "robot harmonies" from the lead vocals. At any given moment, there are anywhere between 4 and 7 manufactured harmonies going on at once over top of my natural vocals. So needless to say, the production of the robot chorus of Semeskys was quite the task! There are a number of differences between my version and the original but hopefully you are still able enjoy this rendition!

Hide And Seek (Imogen Heap Cover)

Scorpions were undoubtedly one of the best and most iconic metal bands of the 80s. Their singles 'Rock You Like A Hurricane', 'Big City Nights', and 'No One Like You' are among some of my all time favorite tunes from that era. So I thought that it would be a lot of fun to put some new school spice to their song 'No One Like You' with two of my good buddies Ben Schmitz and Drewsif Stalin. Take a gander!

On guitar is myself and Ben Schmitz of Rest Among Ruins and on bass is Drewsif Stalin of DSME. Vocals by yours truly. Mixing and drum composition are also compliments of Drewsif! That guy rocks the Casba!
