Gottwood Mix #017 - Move D (Live From Gottwood)

Here is a recording of my set at Far Away in Los Angeles that happened recently. I was the only DJ that night and I played from doors till close. Unfortunately the recording cut out during the night and we are missing the last 90 minutes. There are still the first 4.5 hours here for you to enjoy though.

Thank you to everyone that was there and involved in making this such a great night. And thanks to the person on twitter that took the photo and let me use it for the artwork.

Far Away Los Angeles 28th October 2016

This is a recording of the 10-11pm hour at Far Away's 5th anniversary celebration. Our headliner Floating Points was stuck in traffic, so I did my best to keep people moving as we waited for his arrival. My internal monologue during this time was unfortunately NOT recorded, so here is a sample: "it's so hot where is floating points oh god i am running out of records it's so hot"

Nonetheless, I am very proud of this hour of music and very grateful to have a document of one of the most surreal and rewarding nights of my life. I want to thank all of the friends and dancers who created such a special vibe in that sweaty room...most of you can be heard on this tape!

I would also like to thank Jen and Cooper of Far Away, who trusted me on the decks that night despite my limited experience. Their party with Floating Points back in May of 2015 is basically the reason I decided to try my hand at DJing, so to pass things off to the man himself is quite literally a dream come true. The last minute of this recording is a moment that will stay with me forever :)
