Brazilian powerhouse DJ/producer Vintage Culture has become a dominant force in the global music scene, cementing his status as a household name in his home country and beyond. From lighting up mainstages at major festivals from Tomorrowland to EDC Las Vegas to his residency at HÏ Ibiza, numerous BBC Radio 1 Essential mixes and his recent R1 Residency, his presence is felt worldwide. Now, the global sensation makes his highly anticipated debut on Hot Creations, teaming up with fellow Brazillian talent Vinter—one of the rising stars among the new wave of Brazilian artists who returns to the label after 2023’s ‘FMF’ with Viot, along with a series of releases on Sola, Nervous Records, and COCO—for their pulse-raising track ‘High’.

Already causing a stir during sets, ‘High’ shows up as an essential weapon to set dancefloors ablaze. This hot-and-ready house anthem from the exciting duo is packed with sharp vocal loops, blaring sirens, and rumbling sub-bass, delivering a surge of energy to keep crowds hyped all night long. An artist who understands groove, Nicola Gavino’s sound echoes vintage flavours with distinct funky and fresh rhythms. His summer has been a busy one, with performances at the likes of Kappa FuturFestival and his long-running residency at Turin’s Audiodrome Club, plus releases on Dennis Cruz and Eddy M’s MÜSE imprint, SOSA’s label COCO, and more. Now, as he steps out on Jamie Jones’ revered Hot Creations for the first time, the Italian talent puts his best foot forward across three peak-time house cuts inspired by the label boss himself.

“The main track was inspired by a video of Kappa's mainstage in 2022 recorded from a friend's phone. Jamie was playing this glitched edit of Sweet Dreams (which I only found more than a year later) which really blew my mind. I watched it so many times that I felt the need to make something myself, recreating and exaggerating that special vibe. The track being. chosen by Jamie himself for Hot Creations is more than a goal and an honour for me; it is about paying respect to a label and a DJ who always inspired me and which I look up to.” - Nicola Gavino

With its sharp synths, feel-good trumpets and deep driving bassline, the spirit of Chicago house is present in opener ‘Givin’ My Love’. Next, ‘Lazer Tool’ offers a more modern minimal sound, rich with percussion and distorted SFX. Closing out the EP, ‘Pump Up’ combines elements from the first two tracks with cutting percussive kicks, warping distorted vocals and a grooving hypnotic bass that’s destined for the dancefloor.

At just 22 years old, Brazilian DJ/producer nocapz. has already built an impressive catalogue of releases on labels like Nervous Records, SOLOTOKO, and Organic Pieces. This year, a standout moment in his career came with the release of ‘Coming For Ya’ on Gruuv—a summer anthem that was heavily supported by industry heavyweights ANOTR and quickly became a dancefloor hit. Now, as the year winds down, he takes the next step in his journey with his label debut on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations, delivering the bass-fuelled four-track ‘More Love’ EP, which also features a collaboration with fellow Brazilian artist Marian (BR). “After a year with more than 10 releases, ‘More Love’ EP certainly is one of the works I'm most proud of.
The first three tracks of this EP were produced in one week, and every Jamie Jones support during his Paradise residency in Ibiza meant a lot to me. It felt like I was daydreaming. This four-track release represents nocapz. in its purest form as it brings to life all my influences of club culture through energetic basslines and classic rave synths. I'm beyond excited to be releasing this catalogue on Hot Creations alongside Marian (BR), who is a big friend of mine and one of the best producers I know.” - nocapz.
Kicking off with thick, pounding beats, ‘More Love’ features chopped vocals with a nostalgic vibe that seamlessly blend into a deep, bass-heavy groove. Keeping the momentum, ‘Getting Heard’ drives forward with quick, bouncy beats and heavy synths that build a wave of intensity to the dancefloor. ‘One Shot’ packs a punch with thumping kicks, keeping the EP's energy fierce and pushing the track to its peak intensity. Closing out, Marian joins on the seductive funk of ‘Midnight Thoughts,’ where smooth, intriguing rhythms flow around a glistening clank of vibrant percussion.nocapz. ‘More Love’ drops via Hot Creations on 20th December 2024.

London duo Wax On Mare St. debut on Infuse this November with their ‘Perceptions’ EP, backed by a remix from Mennie. Formed in 2015 by London-based duo James Puentes and Jordan Mina (MIINA), the Wax On Mare St. guise has quickly become a rising name of note within the city’s ever-evolving house scene, with releases to date on imprints including Blind Vision, Roush and most recently, E1even Records, appearances across the likes of fabric, Studio9294 and Eastern Electrics, and a monthly slot on East London’s Netil Radio. Following on from a busy summer of gigs, mid-November welcomes a debut on FUSE sister imprint Infuse as the duo touch down on the label with Italian talent Mennie also stepping up on remix duties for his first appearance on the label. Entitled 'Pepper & Spice’ lays the focus on skipping percussion and hazy synths throughout.
