"Émancipés du vide ?"
Est un album qui mène une réflexion mélancolique sur les gouffres émotionnels que l'humain entretient, sur la difficulté de nous extirper de nos attractions diverses vers le néant, nos incapacités à regarder les déchets mentaux que nous produisons sans passer par la case culpabilité, c'est une critique de la normalisation, du conformisme, du positivisme creux vanté par nos esprits trop marketés et en quête du chemin le plus rapide vers un Sens quel qu'il soit. L'illusion d'être libre dans un monde qui vante des platitudes érigées en valeurs censées incarner cette liberté et pourtant située à vingt mille lieues sous ce que pourrait être un début de chemin vers une liberté effective. Enfin, il symbolise la nécessité vitale de retrouver notre naïveté perdue et de réapprendre à voir le beau et à œuvrer en ce sens.

Le naïf adulte (dernier morceau de l'album)
Traite quant à lui de la volonté de retrouver son état d'enfant, l'émerveillement initial, le fait de faire un reset sur la blase que l'expérience nous a apporté comme un fardeau. Sans perdre l'éveil de ce que nos déceptions nous ont enseigné à raison, mais sans traîner non plus à jamais le boulet émotionnel comme une dette éternelle de nos erreurs liées à nos perceptions juvéniles et alors en travaux. Être en mesure de voir le beau à nouveau, là où il se trouve effectivement, maintenant nous saurons mieux le viser avec justesse, ne plus le perdre de vue, l'honorer, comme l'enfant que nous avons toujours été et que nous resterons à jamais, enfin ne plus lâcher ce cap. La joie est un choix du présent, un acte de résistance à l'empire.

He used to work in a butcher shop and all day long there was meat to chop.
But now he’s an accountant and his life is kind of dull in a mind numbing sort of way.

But when it comes time for Uncle Lou to cut the Christmas ham and turkey
he get’s a wild gleam in his eye
He says don’t worry I’m a professional
I know what I am doing 
as we all try to get out of his way

Uncle Lou’s got the electric knife
And we’re fearing for his life
That poor turkey had no chance
I think I’m gonna wet my pants

And if he does he’ll turn and run

They say Electric knives have a high injury potential
And losing a finger is very consequential
But Uncle Lou doesn’t seem to care
He’s got the culinary version of a chainsaw in his hand
And he picks it up and he takes command
If he had a hockey mask you’d swear it was Friday the 13th
After a few minutes his job is complete
And then we all sit down to eat
Instead of saying grace we thank God that his fingers have survived for another year

What kind of experiment was it? I forcibly inserted another element in the middle of the DJ sound. I mainly use collage as my production method, so the atmosphere of this song is what I imagined. But it destroyed the uplifting dance mood that gets you on the rhythm. Some of the necessary elements of the music are missing, but it will be a relief for your ears.
