“Finding You” is a romantic and spiritual roots reggae song, a sonic journey that fuses the love between two people with the strength of Jah’s universal message.

With a slow and deep rhythm (~90 BPM), marked by the classic one drop on the drums, a warm and enveloping bassline, rhythmic guitars with delay, and Nyabinghi percussion, the song conveys the essence of reggae in its purest and most intimate form.

The lyrics tell a story of searching and finding, where the protagonist recognizes in his beloved not only human love, but also a spiritual light that guides, heals, and sets him free. Each verse describes how her smile, her voice, and her presence become root, refuge, and truth.

The melodic and repetitive chorus reinforces the idea of discovery and rebirth: “Finding you, my heart found its way, you’re the song my soul wants to play…”, while the call-and-response bridge evokes the African and communal tradition of spiritual reggae, creating an atmosphere of unity and devotion.

Towards the end, the soft choruses with “na-na-na” in a reggae-pop style add freshness and a universal touch, inviting everyone to join in the chant. The ethereal whispered outro closes the piece with a message of eternal love and unity under Jah.
