In late 2020 Satl captured the global mood perfectly with his dense and claustrophobic masterpiece ‘Lucid Dreams’. This summer, he flips the script, channeling hope and optimism on a six-track EP – Bedroom Producer with a Dream - a rose-tinted self-reflection, perfectly suited for the summer.  

The contrast between projects shows how effortlessly versatile Satl’s productions can be. He perfectly blends influences from Jazz, Hip Hop and Electronica as he connects with vocalists DRS and T.R.A.C. as well as Auckland producer Tokyo Prose. The project shows off his growing refinement and maturity as a producer who has a great future ahead of him.

 “This project is a reflection of my story as producer. Recently I’ve been looking back at how much I have grown as an artist over the years. From making music in my bedroom to being able to live off of music and playing it all around the world,” Satl explains. “This EP is about that journey: the ups and the downs. Since its early stages I knew I wanted to involve some of my favourite people and I’m really happy with how everything came together. From the vocal talents of DRS & T.R.A.C. to production assist from New Zealand's finest: Tokyo Prose. Some of the tracks feature beautiful piano improvisations by talented Leon Cronie which I re-programmed or completely chopped up. I can only say that I'm really proud of this piece of work.”

Black Barrel returns to Dispatch for this special two-track release that sees him pay homage to the artists that have inspired and influenced his own sound in some way. 

'Bad Boy Tune' is inspired by the legendary Dillinja, whose genre-defining sound helped shape drum and bass in its formative years. Considered by many as the godfather of heavyweight bass, we're honoured to have his blessing on this tune (which features a sample of him taken from an infamous interview with the man himself). 

'Dirty Dance' takes inspiration from Noisia, the versatile Dutch trio's ever-evolving and progressive sound being another integral influence on Black Barrel's own musical output. 

Both tunes feature that trademark Black Barrel magic, a welcome return to the label (and the first of many from this talented artist) for 2022.

The English prodigy Damien Fisher is back with « Eustachian EP», which will delight listeners and fans with his dark, captivating, and almost dystopian journey. 
 
Native from Bristol, Fisher moved to Spain with his family at the age of 11. Living into music since his young age thanks to his parents, Damien Fisher has built over the years a solid culture, through black music, rock, and electronic music - that he will discover thanks to the set of Erick Morillo when he was only 15. 
Always producing, Damien’s creativity is limitless. Damien’s track « Psilocin » was recently recognized by The Great Dubfire, winning his Bridge_48 Mentoring Competition. « Eustachian EP » is a continuation of Damien’s amazing track record.

Michael Brennan, aka Mikey Beats is a Beatboxer from the City of Lincoln UK who has competed in the UK Beatbox championships for six years. He has performed at various Club events and Festivals up and down the country including Alchemy Festival,Eqinox festival, and Illusive festival. He has also performed at venues such as the O2 academy Islington,Brixton Jamm, Clapham Grand and The Battersea Arts Center London. He has supported many inspirational artists such as – Congo Natty,DJ Format & Abdominal,The Skints,Zion Train,Ed Solo Dave the Drummer,Dub Pistols,Serial Killaz & MC Xander along with many other talented musicians.

Known in the Beatbox scene and Beatboxing for over ten years Mikey Beats has developed and strengthened his performance being inspired by artists such as Faith SFX,Reeps One, Beardyman,Dub FX and DR Badfunk. He has followed his passion being able to adapt and learn different techniques.

Mikey has also teamed up with Noise academy where he delivers beatbox workshops for students who struggle to engage in school teaching an hour masterclass in all things beatbox.

Mikey Beats found his inspiration from exploring music up and down the country and abroad by going to various Festivals & Raves following his passion for Electronic music along with having the chance to watch and meet some of the most phenomenal Beatboxers/Loopers the world has to offer.

From Hiphop to Drum & bass to Techno, he aims to deliver a unique bass - heavy underground set that's pleasing to the ears.
