Last year Rebirth Records celebrated 10 years with the release of the acclaimed compilation selected and mixed by Larry Heard. We are now happy to present 'Rebirth 10 Remixed': a special collection, available on a limited 2x12” vinyl edition, and three digital parts, including brand new versions of some of the classics of the label in the first ten years.

The second part includes remixes from Palms Trax, Borrowed Identity, Gerry Read, Matteo Gamba and Khotin Berlin-based producer Palms Trax picks one of our favourites 'The Infamous' by Butch & C.Vogt cooking up a very cool version, combining the subtle atmospheric deep vibe and hazy synths with a swinging bass-heavy and a pinch of Acid. Borrowed Identity drops an uplifting, dynamic and solid club mix of 'Conscious Of My Conscience', the classic by Womack & Womack revisited by Freaks.  Gerry Read delivers an incredibly peak time house boogie disco monster version of Full Intention's club hit 'Icon'. The italian producer living in Berlin Matteo Gamba, add his electronic deep touch to System Of Survival’s ‘Iper Island’, while  Vancouver based producer Khotin gives 'Evolving' by Chromatic Filters an introspective slow feel with acid touch.

The cover sleeve is a work by Emil Schult, who has created a painting especially for the Rebirth's Anniversary. Emil is known for his work with electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk. Schult's collaboration with founders Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider saw him actively involved in writing lyrics as well as generating the design for some of the band's most famous covers.

Moving to London, producing two sell-out records with Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs, and nailing mixes for Rinse, NTS and Boiler Room, made 2018 a landmark year for Australian-born producer and DJ Loods. Following his extensive touring across the UK and Europe, Loods has been working away in the studio to produce his Classic Music Company debut, making his blissful label outing with ‘Walking Away’. A summer-ready sounding track with soft keys, a soulful vocal sample and lilting beat this is a record that you can expect to hear floating across dancefloors this summer and beyond.

The NYC 1988 EP is inspired by the captivating feeling of rough and ready house music of the late 80’s and early 90’s. A time when now legendary producers such as Maurice Joshua, Marshall Jefferson and Kevin Saunderson were introducing the fresh sound of House music to the clubs of North America and beyond. This EP is a nod to those producers and attempts to continue their vision with a modern interpretation.

The lead track ‘NYC 1988’ aims high with a rolling baseline, swung gritty drums and infectious vocal stabs. Designed for peak time club play this track should leave any admirer of the origins of house music weak at the knees.

Canada’s Demuir has become one a highly praised name in the world of contemporary house over the past few years, racking up releases on the likes of Loco Dice’s Desolat, Phil Weeks’ Robsoul, Detroit Swindle’s Heist and Catz N’ Dogz Petz Recordings amongst many others. Here we see him joining the roster of Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory, adding yet another driving force imprint to his affiliations.

PREMIERE: Demuir Featuring Bluey Robinson - Lusting U

Originally written purely for his own sets, ‘Youreoneofakind’ and ’Somebody Scream’ see the
Berlin-based DJ turn in two of his biggest tracks to date. Having caught the ear of Patrick Topping, the tracks were snapped up and an official release is set to drop through Trick this summer. The title track sees Parker wrapping his trademark, energy fuelled house beats and propellant arrangement skills around tightly looped horns and percussion while soaring, overlaid strings provide an emotive foil to the titular vocal refrain.
’Somebody Scream’ on the flip welds a clipped and filtered vocal scream to more of Parker’s robust house beats before hammering piano licks cut through the mix, driving the track towards hair raising, full on disco breaks.
