In 2022, coming out of that very weird lockdown, I was starting to sketch in the studio. I made Life Is But A Dream, and I had no idea what to do with it. I knew I was stepping away from my own label Hospital Records, and that was it. I played the track to my agent Chris BluMarTen and he instantly said "send it to Goldie. That would be a vibe to release on Metalheadz". I loved the idea so I did, not expecting for a minute that Goldie would like it. To my surprise, he called straight back, and said he liked it and he’d like to release it.

This felt surreal - All my D&B had only been released on Hospital ever since 1996. And now I was looking at a release on the OG of foundation labels.

G said make another tune, and I was tossing ideas back and forth with Conrad Subs, and we came up with a beat we liked. I’ve been following Genesis Elijah for years, always loved his lyrics and flow, and I sent it him, and he came up with the vocal lines for All On Top. Again, Goldie loved it, and we had a release ready to go.

I’m beyond proud and grateful for the opportunity to release on Metalheadz.

Label boss ENEA can´t be missed on here and literally delivers the ´Heat´ with his contribution. Beatalistics sticks to the label philosophy and supports local talents and important label representatives DAVA and MOJOMAN.´Pictures´ delivers dancefloor vibes with a deep bassline and strong vocal arrangement and proves that Dava is one to watch out for in the near future. MOJOMAN maintains a desire to dance with the hypnotizing ´Pillers of Nah´, following his unmistakably melodic and hymnal style.

It's time for our Night Bass Freshmen Vol 4 and we’re proud to present a brand-new class of uniquely talented individuals. UKG/Bassline virtuoso @MPH-uk joins the @NightBassRecords fam with 'Come Back', kicking things off with a massive dose of bassline and breaks. You may recognize this next name from his smashing set on our Livestream Vol 5, please welcome back @Event_HorizonMusic as he continues to smash with track 'Reset’. We first saw @PappsMusicUK on @ACSlater's Demo Mix Session Vol 12 and now he graces us with ‘Sauce’, a high-energy number with a bassline that rolls you right into the pitch-shifted drift of ‘Kickstart’ from Bristol-based newcomer @DarkMoonBristol. Another Demo Mix Session (Vol 13) find, @Ranger-Trucco, shines through with ‘Ear Ringing’ - a complex layering of synths alongside crafty vocal samples.
