space•lab presents the Negen EP from Human Space Machine, a journey into Mike Jungerius’ unique take on the deeper shades of techno. Priori’s hit EP Pareidolia gets a well deserved remix treatment. The relation between Priori and Midgar started early 2023 with the release of his Pareidolia EP, where a remix for Keplrr followed quickly the year after. Now, early 2025, a group of close friends and admired artists were invited to rework the Pareidolia’s originals.

Midgar affiliate Forest Drive West uses the opportunity to present not one but two remixes. Presenting one half-time 85 bpm twist of Hazard and another slow-paced murky techno groover. Originally from Montreal, Maara forms the Canadian connection and she turns Memory Palace into a beautiful bouncy dub-techno floater. Sound experimentalist Notte Infinita takes his turn on Pareidolia’s title track and creates some magnificent eyes-closed drum & bass hypnotism. At last, Amsterdam’s upsammy brings back the light with her iconic playful approach. She flips the steady groove of Glass Shards into a jumpy interplay of rhythms and joy.

Memory Palace (Maara Remix)

CRUDE and Qi have already created multiple mesmerising projects together ~ 2 mixes, 1 radio show appearance, a gig at CRUDE’s Säule event and Qi’s very first EP release that came out this June - next stop together will be Horoom Bassiani in September.

It is a project that marks the beginning of something powerful and deeply resonant.

Qi is an artist from Yerevan, Armenia ~ exploring transformation, intuition, and connection through immersive, ritual-inflected sound. She is also the founder of Siooqh, a label for sonic storytelling inspired by nature, ancient echoes, and inner alchemy

Qi is not only an incredibly gifted artist, but also a beautiful human being who has become a dear friend that is deeply treasured.

Her music carries both intensity and soul, and I couldn't be more excited to share this journey with her— and with all of you.

Her sonic journey is bewitching and transcends rhythmic ecstasy. It symbolises vibrating liberation and a deep ritualistic hypnosis ~ the embodiment of divine darkness, inner alchemy and collective euphoria.

UC023 // Neo Jones is one of those obsessive diggers who’s interest lay in all sorts of corners of dance music, from breakbeat, Balearic, trip hop and house, it all comes together in this excellent downtempo mix.

"The music  I’ve included is a lot of the stuff I’ll listen to day-to-day like going for a drive or working.  I just think it’s so creative the way producers make that sort of trip-hop, downtempo music: the way they introduce samples, but cut them just as easily, and there’s just so many elements to it.  It’s my cup of tea.  I love it."

Dayshift co-founder and Chinese Laundry resident Bouki is on the cusp of releasing his long-awaited debut EP 'Studio 5'. Featuring a series of five tracks proudly written and mastered in Gadigal Land/Sydney's Rikota Studios. The EP is a clear and confident ode to the context in which it was written, featuring the studio's monitors by local audiophiles Translate Audio, and in Rikota's own colour scheme.

'Flow', premiered here, is a large and bumping collaboration with Naarm/Melbourne-based producer Trustee. Punchy 808s are matched with a wobbling bassline paying homage to Bouki's UK heritage.

Of the track, Bouki shared:

“We’ve made a few tunes together now and had initially intended to put another one on the EP, but 'Flow' came together very naturally during two sessions when Tate was up visiting last month and is our favourite track we’ve made together so far.”

Bouki performs this Saturday, September 6 at Chinese Laundry to launch the EP alongside Trustee, Bella Bella and fellow resident Obeido.

'Studio 5' is set to release with a new single every fortnight, until it drops in full on Friday, October 31.
