As every year, when the open-air season reaches its peak, it is time for another edition of BBQ Techno. The tasteful selection of open-air specialities, always compiled by Alex Flitsch and consisting of exclusive titles and highlights from our repertoire, is going into its 4th round already. As exclusives we feature three tracks this time, one more beautiful than the other. First, we have the bittersweet and wonderful "Falling Tears“ by Swabian young blood Peter Reinhardt with vocal support by FAB. Next up is "Dolls“, a massively driving melodic tech-house track, rich in detail, by Swiss fellow David Durango. The last exclusive is an old-schoolish, new interpretation by Of Norway of their 2012 Nu-Disco-epic "Libertine“. Put you hands one the grill and your beef in the air!

While he's turned his hand to many different styles of over the years, there's no doubting the efficiency of Jesse Rose's many well-heeled, house-tailored productions. His last album - released on his own Play It Down label - was a keen reminder of a talent that's as revered in the UK as much as it is abroad.

His first LP since he moved to LA some years ago, The Whole Twelve Inches was a fitting reminder that Rose is still more indebted to the warehouse sounds of Berlin and London than it is his all-new Hollywood surroundings. Perhaps bridging this gap however is the Play It Down boss’ new remix of fast rising LA/Berlin 3 piece The Acid’s incoming single ‘Fame’. For the uninitiated, The Acid consists of Ry X, Steve Nalepa, and the ever trailblazing Adam Freeland who have come together to form an outfit with serious pedigree. If that wasn’t somehow enough to get us onboard The Acid hype train then news that their new single would be getting reworks from DT favourites Jesse Rose and Factory Floor certainly did the trick. Due out August 11 courtesy of Infectious Music you can check out Jesse’s re-rub of ‘Fame’ ahead of release above.

Perfect for those early hours, you can expect to hear plenty of this when it land this August!

Sometimes I turn up to a gig for my 6am slot, and the room is pitch black, deafening, and sweat is dripping off the roof, and I think, hmm, what should I play?

A lot of my solo tracks aren't quite right for this sort of atmosphere, so I've been working on a new project designed more for dark sweaty holes in which we like to spend our weekends.

It's a collaboration with someone I have been working with for many years, who is releasing under the new name - Satirist. The first vinyl + digital release coming next week on Berlin's Killekill label. No pretty melodies this time. The name I will be releasing this work under is - SKEW (because it's a bit off).

Being born in a family profiting from music for generations, Mikita had no choice but to follow his ancestors. He started being interested in music since childhood, being influenced by various genres such as classical, rock, rap and electronic music.
Nowadays Mikita can't live without hearing thousands of new sounds produced by others and himself. He has been a DJ and a producer for the last few years, loving electronic music the most. He started his adventure with house with fat, chicagoan beats and he still has strong feelings for them. Pieces he listens to and produces they always have to surprise him and doesn't play anything that, as he puts it, does not do a backflip within first few minutes and does not take him into a musical journey.
Together with Juerga he founded Scandal agency known for their Skandalizm cycle, promoting world-class, unconventional sounds. For the last four years they have been visiting the best polish clubs.
In 2008, Mikita started to work with such record labels as Levitate and Dirty Stuff. The same year he appeared on compilation "Poland Calling" released by Sony BMG Polska. Not too much later, DJ Magazine named his remix the best dance track. Since then Mikita does not stop to surprise us.
In 2010, he worked with such brands as Asymmetric Recordings, Sweat Lodge Agency, Monique Musique, Night Drive Music, Ponton, Conya and Carry On. His remix for Pysh was played and awarded by Carl Cox, DJ Chus, Ramon Tapia and many more.
2011 is not over yet and Mikita already released a pink vinyl for Night Drive Music, was nominated to the Best Dance Track 2011 so far by Ftb . pl and announcements of new amazing releases.
