Mikkele walked down the aisle to this.  It is based on the letters of her name, announcing her arrival.  The second part of it is based on the melody of the song Pixels (listen here: https://soundcloud.com/tjhill/pixels ) which I sang to her before I proposed... specifically the lines "I have your heart, and you have mine."

A cover of the (now very popular) Capital Cities tune.  I recorded this cover while Mikkele was in India (in 2011), and emailed it to her.  We had our first dance to this track,  awkwardly swaying and spinning from time to time for 2 minutes 12 seconds.

Alpenglow

An experiment in field recording manipulation. 

The first section is comprised entirely of slowed down field recordings of bees (who were hard at work on the blossoms of citrus trees). 

The second section was created using slowed down field recordings of a very shrill squeak of a metal gate latch. The tremolo effect is entirely natural and comes from the internal vibrations of the metal latch.
