The scene takes place 381 miles away from the epicenter of Hip Hop, New York city. It's in Buffalo that Westside Gunn has learned how to control a mic the 5 borough way. He's always had an attraction for melodious sounds and a ferocious hunger for grimy beats straight out the MPC; completed by a rhyme book directly connected to the streets' concrete.

Across the Atlantic, the Effiscienz sound came through the cities' blocks to reach the headphones of the one who has already blessed music from the likes of Apollo Brown or the Alchemist...

Already in control of Conway's EP and Mood's LP, Mil takes charge of the productions by adapting to Westside Gunn's rough flow, making it sound like a "film noir" with harrowing sounds.
In this dark atmosphere dimly lit by a few strings, the stormy kicks and bass have naturally magnetized the Buffalo rhymer to the groove of this EP stamped with the seal of the Parisian label.

Six songs including two in which Mil has
completely changed the soundtrack and vocals to transform the originals.
Six tracks with two instrumentals, to fully enjoy Mil's music without vocals and wait until the release of his album with Main Flow.

A record that, like Riot On Fashion Avenue, will be part of the great hip hop tradition of which Effiscienz carries the flame.

"Sound Of Silence" is first and foremost the organic sequel to "Into The Mood", the latest studio project of the legendary Cincinnati band "Mood" that Mil Beats had already entirely produced. Building on this first collaboration, Main Flow and Mil Beats have decided to play the overtime and to team up again to deliver this new project.
However, make no mistake, enriched by his latest releases with the prominent Conway and WestsideGunn signed by the slim Shady Eminem, the Parisian producer went even further in the making of this project where samples and live instruments are mixed together.
From the first notes, we feel the raw authentic sampling of the SP1200 and the MPC 3000, but also the specific musicality due to the added guests' keyboards, guitars, basses, brass, when it is not Mil himself who plays.
In the same way, the complicity between the two artists is palpable from the beginning to the end of this opus where Main Flow appropriates and sublimates the productions of Mil, thus giving them all their legitimacy.

Conway and his brother Westside Gunn can boast of being the first to have put the city of Buffalo on the map of Hip Hop.

In a very short time, the two brothers have won the favour of the greatests like Dj Premier, The Alchemist and Apollo Brown among others. But they also multiply the collabs like this 4 track EP coming out on EFFISCIENZ and produced entirely by Mil.

The rap is atmospheric and the lyrics are those of a bandit as Conway says it in the first joint "Just Gangsta". The second track "To the streets" is an ode to the street where the rapper battles with his demons. Such as when he was shot, leaving him with scars and a hardly concealable facial paralysis.

On the musical side, Mil provides the perfect atmosphere for this record. Thus, the producer perfectly maintains the high performance he did on the last project of the legendary band from Cincinnati "Mood" which he entirely produced. The sound is sometimes disturbing and grimey like the cold streets of this city from the New York state, but also terribly melodious as this somptuous jazz version that gives an entirely new note to the original title.

This project surprises us like a bullet, not by the speed of the emcees flow, neither by the bpm of the beats, but as a release coming out of nowhere, like a murderous trap set up to the Rap game between Buffalo & Paris.
