Shooting Star

a small handful of weird songs I wrote during lockdown in vaughn. recorded in between playing ping pong with sam and eating delicious slow breakfasts and adventurous dinners with jazz and tilly at till's farm on dja dja wurrung country in early june.

Ten for the beaches
And thirty for the stage
The moon was a girl and she cried the whole day through 
Til the sun collapsed and she was put back
Into the sky
I don't know why

Maybe then we'll see the words you really mean
You say that we should talk
But I don't understand 
I don't have a voice 
And I wish you didn't have hands 
I weep to the trees,
They weep back to me
I get down on my knees
My mother does not know how to help me
I am a mosaic of past memories we share
I know the clock knows because I can see it stare
My limbs ache and I am tired all the time
