For me what makes a track amazing is when it evokes emotions within me. In this way music is powerfully healing as we get the opportunity to feel fully what comes up and then the set becomes the guiding force to lean on and hold onto for support.
And dancing to it, allowing your body to move you, is a magical transformative experience I’m sure you all have had before. I imagine it like an energetic cycle of impression (sound) and expression (the dance).

My intention with this set was to combine a lot of different emotions in one journey, and with 3 hours and 33 minutes I had the freedom to just create without limiting myself to only certain tracks like I would in only 1h. Some of my all-time favourites are in there and some of my own edits  and tracks. And of course, I have recorded some piano as well.

Creating this set was an absolute honour and I felt so much expansion and excitement while doing it. I’m endlessly grateful for the artists that created the tracks, which have enriched my life a lot.

I decided to start this session with more Chill, melodic, glitchy tracks that I’ve been loving recently, before moving into something deeper, something heavier.

This set features a whole host of unreleased originals, some of which I made with my collaborator Coskun.  We’ve created a new live set during the chilly Melbourne winter in the warmth of the studio. But they’re not too dark and they’re not too cold, they’re welcoming the spring that always follows. 

It tapers down towards the end with tracks on my upcoming LP that are more experimental, that were created from the depths of my heart and spent maybe too long refining. They are melodic, they’re dramatic and progressively pull you away from the stage and towards the home, where you can rest, where you can exist at ease. 

This is a good accompaniment to kick ons, or upon your return from a festival. Revisit the highs and bring you back to earth. Thank you for listening to my 333 Session. It was made with a lot of love.

Born and raised out of West Berlin Michel had only music and collecting records on his mind from an early age. Influenced by British ‚77 punk- rock and US punk from the late 80ies he soon realised musical boundaries were nothing for him. His equally large passion for hip-hop paved the way to first electronic productions. Big beat, drum ‚n‘ bass, acid techno, early spiral tribe stuff...His first fusion festival in early 2000 as well as many illegal open airs and parties in a Berlin filled with open spaces after the fall of the wall, made clear the path he would take. Up until then a party DJ with diverse genres, his passion for techno/house music steadily grew. Through own events with Bachstelzen, a collective of organisers that has greatly influenced Berlin‘s party scene with its events in elaborately themed off-locations, the course was set for frequent techno/house DJ gigs.

"This set is a combination of all my feelings right now: a rollercoaster, literally going up and down, just like 2020 has. A rollercoaster riding waves of overwhelming, old, new and unknown feelings as well as sounds. I recorded the 3hr33min at Sisyphos on a Thursday night - all by myself. You will probably encounter some new and older tracks, some more uplifting as well as some deep emotional sounds. You might even find the slight slip up here and there and some surprising moments that just perfectly fits my current mood. It was a pure journey to find all these wonderful tracks and I am happy to bring them together and showcase them in one set. It might leave you with a longing for new beginnings as well as gratitude to have made those wonderful memories during this special time. It's been a pleasure and an honour to be able to record a mix for the Flow Sessions. For this episode I have decided to turn back the wheel of time and pay tribute to a wide array of producers & record labels that have helped shape the underground music industry as we know it. As an artist I am a firm believer of being always in the moment, playing in the moment, hoping that my positive energy will translate into the music that I play.
