For as long as I can remember, there's always been a voice in my head that's telling me I shouldn't be myself, and that if I blended in more then people wouldn't judge me. Being an introvert I'm constantly worrying about this especially in social settings. So I wrote this song as a way to create a conversation with that voice. I've learned through my mental health awareness that I can treat myself the way I would treat my best friends and family, with kindness. And so perhaps over time I can even learn how to dance like I have nothing to be ashamed of.

"SAX BEAT" is an original track produced by Mild Monk for the skate film PARKTAGE SUMMER 2023.

[ During a brief hiatus from making music, I switched gears and rediscovered my passion for skateboarding. Over the span of the summer, before the Bay Area heat scorched us into oblivion, I packed my camera bag and gathered friends together to capture this new high. By channeling inspirations from Japanese skateboarding crews like Tightbooth and Evisen, I seeked to make my own version of their all hands on deck approach to skate film making here in the west coast. From making the music in house to featuring the local skateparks in our area, I wanted to show both what my local scene is like and also pay back the creative inspirations I've gained. Thank you to everyone who reciprocated my vision, your excitement and energy gave me the fire I needed to complete this project. ]

This song came at a time when days couldn’t feel any more stagnant. I couldn't get off the hamster wheel of life. But I survived by noticing the little things everyday. And eventually pulled myself out of the funk. It seemed that the magic was all around and that I just needed a change of perspective!

Time Alone is streaming everywhere!

Hello! I hope this message finds you in good health. I wrote this song about a month ago in response to the current state of living. I hope to convey an emphasis on self care and healing through the music and that the message can reach everybody - especially those who are in more difficult situations than I. Wherever you are, I hope you stay safe and healthy. We'll make it through this together.
