Mildred Maude create music 'in-the-moment' in one continuously evolving track. Their their live gigs are different every time, and their recordings are never replicated live. In the few gigs that they have played, the band have supported The Fall, Gwenno, Bonnacons of Doom, Lorelle Meets The Obsolete, and have performed as Damo Suzuki's (Can) sound carriers in what the press called one of the loudest gigs in Cornwall ever. The band have also performed in a Year 5 primary school classroom, improvising with 10 year old children. The band's sound is made up of repetitive but evolving drums, thunderous baselines, and guitar sounds from melodic riffs through to feedback experiments and screwdriver bashing.
