Let Down

'Tired Eyes' is a timeless tale of the self-doubting artist dictating the delicate balance of love and hate between an artist and the music industry, which is amplified by an empty pocket and the instinctual crave for affection. I had essentially reached a point of screaming out in frustration when writing this track with regards to many aspects of my life, I was tired and looking for a reason to carry on.

Tired Eyes

Spawned in the land of the famous four and the bad bowl cut, Miles Goodall has surmounted the ideal blend of pop hooks from jazz cooks. Draped heavily in the culture that surrounds growing up in modern day Britain - from working a dead end job to 4am drunken rants, it's almost impossible not to find yourself listening to each track as if it has been written about you.

To graft is to grow, and Miles' upcoming record 'Close To Okay' is the culmination of sleepless nights, working days, weekday hangovers and those famous jazz cigarettes. Goodall has been working with his band 'The Love Handles' since 2018, with whom he has found regional success, both in the UK and throughout Europe. Their blend of new alternative jazz pop and their partnership with renowned producer Christoph Skirl (Tom Misch, Yussef Dayes, Dornik) is a match made in heaven.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Goodall challenges the constraints of commercial success and the idea that straight love sells. As an underrepresented voice in the industry as a whole, Goodall speaks openly about his love life, in a personal yet universal narrative. Having spent the last few years as a prominent figure in the Brighton music scene, Miles and his seasoned band 'The Love Handles' are only just getting started.
