This is the first single from a collection of songs that represents a sort of side-track in my musical output. You see, I'm an instrumentalist first and foremost. In particular, a upright/acoustic/double/kontra/contre/up-standing or whatever you want to call it bassist. Up until this point my music has been more focused on sounds, arrangements, interaction, and things like that. 

But here we have a song. A simple song. I'm playing guitar and singing. This is something I've been casually doing all along, but I've never been very public about it. Songs such as these have always been a side project and tend to live on the back burner. Over the past 10 years I've been making recordings of these songs so I think it's time that I crack open the vault and share some of my favourites with you. I hope you enjoy this one.

This is the second single of a collection of songs I've been writing, recording and collecting for quite some time. 

I wrote this song 6 or 7 years ago, and I wasn't entirely sure what I was writing about. I'm happy to release this song at this particular moment as it seems to be more relevant now than ever.

Double bassist, improviser, composer, songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, musical explorer. Born and raised on the Canadian prairies, the imagery of the big sky and wide open landscapes have forever permeated his music.
A unique voice on the Double Bass, his captivating solo sets juxtapose his high singing voice against the low tones of the bass. He uses a unique combination of conventional, extended and invented techniques along with unconventional tools to extract a vast palate of sounds from his bass.
