Chris Wirsig is an award-winning composer, songwriter and producer, who enjoyed classical training on piano and saxophone, studied audio engineering at SAE Technology College, and has more than 20 years experience in music production. His music can be heard in games like the acclaimed Top Ten iPad game "Alien Tribe 2," the multiple award-winning short movies "Intervention," "20 Matches," "Cat Dexx: Inkosi," and "Trick Of The Old Cat," the comedy feature film "39 And A Half," and in numerous TV shows on ABC, E!, MTV, Fox Sports, Audience Network/DirecTV, and others.
 
Current and upcoming projects include music for the pilot for a tech-horror web series, "Glitch," an LGBTQ+ animated comedy series, and a charity project with an orchestral cover version of Depeche Mode's "People Are People," a project with 36 musicians and singers, benefitting several organizations fighting for justice and equality, arranged and produced solely by Chris.
 
On the songwriting/producing side, Chris started the acclaimed Electro Pop/Dark Wave band no:carrier in 1995 and the Electronica/Chill-Out project Virtual Conformity in 2001, as well as several side projects. He's also co-writing and producing songs with other artists and songwriters like Psyche, Liza Marie Sparks, Queen Chameleon, The Dust Ryde, echoekill, and many others.
 
After studying audio engineering in the late 1990's, he worked as editor for the musician & tech magazines "KEYS" and "Studio Post Pro," and founded the first German fair-trade record label, NovaTune.
 
Chris is a Grammy Voting Member, as well as a member of the Society Of Composers and Lyricists, for which he also served as LA Administrator for two years.

Evolving movements of dark cinematic space drive the direction of this effort.  An imaginative zone, creating environments of sound, across time and space, that holds a contemplative sound experience inside for those who wish to visit.  Experimental electronic music from the deepest, coldest regions.
Lately, my time has been spent assembling tracks for an ambient collection, a more melodic collection, creating interesting noises, and collaborating with other musicians usually on bass, or low frequency generators.
I update the sites I use with work samples, completed tracks, collections and information often.

MILITIA VOX has no regard for genre, gender roles or rules.  A truly modern multi-hyphenate artist with a DIY ethos; this black cat has had many lives and has always broken boundaries.

MILITIA VOX has recorded, toured and shared stages with some of the best in the business, including: Cyndi Lauper, Twisted Sister, Living Colour, Nancy Sinatra, John Petrucci, L7, Taylor Dayne, Sandra Bernhard, Candlebox, members of Bad Wolves, Type O Negative, Misfits and many more.  She is a crowd favorite at international festivals and events- everything from biker rallies to prestigious museums.

Known as an electrifying Singer, Songwriter / Composer, Director, Producer, Host/VJ from Fuse, MTV2 and Vh1, as well as a key Influencer of the Afropunk movement, MILITIA VOX officially stepped forward as a solo recording artist in 2013.  Her mesmerizing presence, raw power and 4 octave range has captured the hearts of icons and outsiders alike.

Based in NYC and originally hailing from Columbia, MD, Militia is a mixed- race American artist who draws from a splay of influences that contribute to her vast, edgy lyrics and sound.  She is an award winning classically-trained pianist, award-winning visual artist, choral arranger, horror buff and frontwoman of bands such as all-female heavy metal sensation, JUDAS PRIESTESS.  Her sonic palette- a mix of Alternative Metal, Urban Goth/Industrial, Heavy Prog, Psychedelic Rock with female-fueled angst.  This unique voice and musical perspective have garnered her praise from legends such as Dee Snider, Corey Glover, Kembra Pfahler and Kathleen Hanna.

Militia's mantra is "Disgrace Your Stereotype" and she lives by this adage, encouraging people to be true to themselves and rise above labels.  She is a magnetic public speaker at colleges and conferences (Berklee College of Music, SXSW, NAMM, etc) and is featured in several books, tv shows and films.  She Hosts and MCs many festivals and events and stars in musicals and cabarets (The Box, House of Yes and Duane Park.)
