Exmantera is a computational artist, DJ and producer based in Helsinki, Finland. Her reputation precedes her; having been featured on a number of high-profile electronic compilations such as Feyrûse by Shelter, Torrent by Double Take, and Lost Memory by World Canvas, her work is highly regarded across the electronic spectrum. She has played internationally at club events such as experimental club night SYPHEN in London as well as domestically alongside TORUS in Helsinki. Releasing work both under Exmantera and her alias MEAT CAGE, her club edits have taken the deconstructed club circuit by storm, with no end to her upward trajectory in sight.

For the 30th edition of RADIO:TRAUMA, Exmantera presents a mix comprised solely of her body of work made of classics, deep cuts and unreleased tracks. In the grey area between accessible club culture and the most peculiar corners of the avant-garde, this mix will bring you closer to the forefront of electronic sound.

GHOST RAID is a Southern California based artist and DJ who creates blistering soundscapes, mangling and reinterpolating dance music and composition into pure catharsis. Heavily inspired by artists like Alparr, S280F, Iglooghost and former music teacher FITNESSS, they have been producing work which explores the intersection between harsh noise and club music. Having an extensive catalogue of their own work, they have also released music alongside contemporaries in the deconstructed electronic scene including Raiika, Cenaceae, Archidi and 2MANYCOLOURS. They are working on numerous projects which will be released over the coming months.

For this mix, GHOST RAID has welded together harsh electronics with euphoria, creating a soundscape akin to the dichotomy between heaven and hell. Cold, cybernetic and dystopian in nature, allow sound to fully consume.

RADIO:TRAUMA 035: GHOST RAID

Lag Switch is an LA-based deconstructed producer, DJ and visual artist. Having a massive portfolio of groundbreaking experimental work, Lag Switch is perhaps best known for their work in the deconstructed club scene; their collaborations with artists such as FITNESSS (Shrapnel, 2024) MYEN (Atarxia, 2023) and TRNGS (CBLOCK, 2022) comprise touchstone pieces of work in the deconstructed canon; individually, they have released remixes of KAVARI’s “Attachment style” and GloRilla’s “Yeah Glo!”, and an extensive body of their own work. Existing in the intersection of Ambient, Hardcore, Experimental and Club sounds, their audible and visual work takes shape in the disruption of the ethereal; comprising complex, frenetic, moving worlds, manifesting into the destruction of bodies and sounds. 

For this mix, Lag Switch brings a deconstructed-forward mix with a variety of world sounds, featuring club-focused tracks, experimental sounds, work by their favorite producers as well as original tracks, manifesting in a powerful and complex soundscape.

RADIO:TRAUMA 039: LAG SWITCH

The Two Heavens "White Orca" project was born in the final weeks of summer 2024, a raw reflection of both loss and acceptance. This project holds deep personal meaning, with both tracks dedicated to a childhood friend who tragically passed away in a freediving accident in the Philippines. The music was crafted to evoke an emotional journey—blending profound sadness with moments of unexpected euphoria, capturing the complex beauty of remembering someone lost too soon. It’s a sonic exploration of grief, joy, and everything in between.
