Quatre Bras, the follow-up to Scatterbrain’s debut EP Ghost Gum, sees the Sydney artist flirt with house and techno while retaining his flair for deeply layered sample collage and rhythmic interplay. Kiri Cantle returns once again with a vocal performance that matches the effervescent production of the title track. Back on remix duties, JV brings his raw junglist flex to round out the release.

Pregnancy Suits You is the debut release from drummer and electronic musician Dialectic. Hailing from the NSW Central Coast, Dialectic makes music inspired in equal parts by sci-fi, feminism and video games. Across six tracks he explores the journeys of pregnancy and childbirth, as they relate to his experiences in fatherhood and in working in the mental health field.

From the artist: “...[as a] mental health social worker I am fascinated by semantics and the subtext of everyday comments. … I overheard the phrase “pregnancy suits you” ...and it got me thinking, does that mean that pregnancy doesn’t suit some mothers? How do we measure if it suits someone or not?”
