Germany’s house icons Milk & Sugar release remix by in demand hit maker, Purple Disco Machine.

Following the recent Brokenears Remix of ‘House Dimension’, the iconic German House duo Milk & Sugar are back with a highly anticipated remix of their anthemic Ibiza classic ‘Let The Sun Shine’ by none other than dance music’s hit maker, Purple Disco Machine – out 23rd April via their very own Milk & Sugar Recordings.

When Milk & Sugar’s ‘Let The Sun Shine’ was released in 2003 it garnered great international success throughout clubland and beyond and went on to become the duo’s biggest hit to date. Fast-forward to the present and now dance music’s sought-after hit maker Purple Disco Machine has added his own unique flavour to the classic dance hit, utilising the original’s key elements and adding his magic trademark groove and a TB-303 acidline to make a truly huge house record that’s readymade for the forthcoming summer months.

Just right with the kick-off of this year´s summer season, Milk & Sugar start promoting their new single „Canto Del Pilón“ – a world music influenced summer track that stands out for his own. 

This new single is a cooperation with venezuelan singer María Marquéz, who is a great star in Spanish Speaking Middle- and South America since the late 60ies. „Canto Del Pilón“ is a black workers song about the colonial history of South America.

Remixes are coming from Berlin mastermind Taan Newjam, Italy's very own Simone Vitullo, Déepalma honcho Yves Murasca and chillout legend Afterlife.

Following their debut single on seminal imprint Enormous Tunes (‘Heat’-African Day out now) the esteemed DJ and producer pair Milk & Sugar return to their own imprint, Milk And Sugar Recordings for their next slice of euphoric house - ‘My Lovin’.

This time round the duo have once again joined forces with Barbara Tucker, the iconic soul singer responsible for classics such as ‘I Get Lifted’, ‘Stay Together’ and more recently, ‘Live Your Life’.

‘My Lovin’ offers the usual high-energy, funk-laden groove that has become synonymous with Milk & Sugar. A steady house rhythm leads the song, backed by joyous piano chords and summery synths, laying down the perfect foundation for the soulful, glossy vocals from Barbara Tucker.

First up on the remix duty is Mat.Joe, whose recent release was the Beatport chart busting track, ‘Make A Living.’ The duo continue on their fine form with ‘My Lovin’, offering up a slow-burning, stripped down version of the track.

Second remix comes from Oliver Dollar, who made a name for himself internationally following his recent Defected release ‘Pushing On’, the anthem of Ibiza 2015.

This year the iconic house duo Milk & Sugar celebrate their 20th anniversary, and can now confirm their first release of 2017 – a reworking of their classic 1999 anthem ‘Higher & Higher’ out 17 February. 

‘Higher & Higher’ was an international-breakthrough-hit for the duo on original release. Now it’s back with some killer new mixes from Teenage Mutants (Stil Vor Talent, Off Recordings, Kittball Records, Suara Music,) Berlin-based duo Robosonic and Milk & Sugar themselves, along with a re-mastered re-edit of the 1999 remix from New York house legend David Morales. 

Milk & Sugar are Mike K and Steven Harding, celebrating 20 years of creating some of the world’s most innovative house music. A catalogue that includes global hits like their all-time classic ‘Let The Sun Shine,’ that reached No.1 in the US-Billboard Dance and Airplay charts. ‘Higher & Higher’ marks the start of the celebrations, which will culminate with a 20th Anniversary album – coming this summer. It will be a collection of brand new songs sitting alongside fresh interpretations of some of their greatest tracks. 

“We can’t believe we’ve been doing this for 20 years. It only feels like we started yesterday.” says the duo. “It’s going to be a big year for us, with some very special releases and what better way to start than ‘Higher & Higher’, which is what started everything for us.”

This year iconic house duo Milk & Sugar celebrate their 20th anniversary, and ahead of their forthcoming LP released this summer, the duo can now announce the second track off the album – entitled ‘Music Is Moving’ – coming out via Enormous Tunes.   

With its euphoric four-to-the-floor rhythm, catchy hook and infectious soulful vocal sample, ‘Music Is Moving’ showcases all the characteristics that have become so well associated with the German duo. As well as the original, the release also contains a charged deep-house remix from South African-born DJ/producer, Nora En Pure.

Milk & Sugar return to their own label with their next release ’Love is in the Air’ feat. John Paul Young.

Milk & Sugar led the charge of vocal house from Germany two decades ago and became deeply influential on the house music scene. Their song “Love Is In The Air” - a remix that sampled the disco classic from 1979 - became a milestone and an anthem for the duo — one of their signature songs, in 2001 vaulting straight from the Ibiza clubs into the Top 40 of the UK pop charts.

Today marks a new chapter for Milk & Sugar as they have re-worked the track with original singer, John Paul Young, to match the needs of today’s club crowds: The pair perfectly melt together John’s passionate vocal with a driving bassline, stuttering synth drones and an uplifting classic piano riff to create an infectious groove, that’s readymade for Summer 2019 and abroad.
