@BadgerMusicArtist swept us off our feet back in April with his ‘Give It To Me’ track on Night Bass Freshmen Vol 5, showcasing a refreshingly divergent facet of house music that we’ve been graced with more of in his ‘Somebody’ EP. Loaded with melodic beats, emotionally-charged vocalizations and joyous undertones, the title track affirms Badger’s dedication to musicality and originality. The b-side offers a strong contrast in soundscaping via the dark and deep sounds of ‘Pon De Track’, where a filthy bassline offers a nice balance to the sweet sounds of the a-side.

Swiss duo QZB make their second solo outing of the year for Critical with the ‘Kilowatt’ EP - packing four high-voltage drum & bass stunners, primed to electrify any dancefloor.

‘Antidote’ opens in cinematic style, layering lush soundscapes and drifting vocals over a moody filtered bassline; cross-wired with manic, razor sharp breakbeats.

Title track ‘Kilowatt’ is a simpler, but no less powerful groove, aimed straight at the rave, pushing things hard, deep and deliciously minimal.
