2CRY4 is the kick off to a new series of various artist compilations by 2DIY4, the sister label of Diynamic, both of which were founded by Solomun. Nine previously unheard tracks of gentle indie-electronica with drive are bound together on these releases to put the listener into a certain state: contemplative.

A very dreamy and unintrusive sound that shows the inherent beauty in melancholia. The stirring voices, surrounded by atmospheric soundscapes, immediately paints pictures of romance, heartache and sometimes hope in your mind.

"Make Haste My Love" is a piece of music I made as a wedding gift for my mother, Susan, and stepfather, Tim, who just got married on the 26th of October. What makes this song so special is that almost all of the sounds that make up the arrangement are snippets of audio taken from videos that they sent me on WhatsApp over the past few years of their times and travels together.

Using all sorts of high tech music and AI tools, I was able to edit and manipulate these pieces of audio to become a sort of sonic scrapbook of some of the most standout moments of their falling in love. The videos range from Tim serenading a vineyard of lucky grapes in Abruzzo with his saxophone, to Tim road testing Susan's Christmas gift of a clarinet in the living room on a chilly March evening, to the impassioned roar of Tim's football team, the Brighton Seagulls, winning at the first ever game that Susan went to that he took her to last year.

With tools like Melodyne and RipX, I was able to take the sound of the saxophone in the vineyard, for example, and make it play not just a completely different melody, but also harmonise it as if there were more than one of Tim at any one point.

Towards the end of the song, I even managed to squeeze in some audio of me rather naughtily playing the piano, decorated with a Do Not Touch sign, at the church when I popped in with Susan a few days before the wedding.

You'll also notice that the release is a collaboration with Mussanti, which is actually an anagram of their names, Susan and Tim, and they're going to be getting 50 percent of the royalties as a gift that just keeps on giving.

For part 1 we see the return of the legendary Sebb Junior for another Deep House groover similar to his work on Demarkus Lewis's Airlock EP. We also see the return of a production duo in Part 1 that we've been a firm believer in for some time now - Sachrias & Aslak. Sachrias & Aslak have released music on Cromarti since 2011 with their 2 part release for "Stromso", which we had an amazing selection of artists rework. Their sound and production quality are top notch, and we have no doubt you're going to love the deep dub mix they've turned out for this one.
